The Chicago Mahler Society, The Chicago Mahlerites, gears its main effort to advancing the appreciation of Mahler's music among its members, as well as the general public. This goal is achieved through our regular CD/DVD listening sessions, lectures, book reviews, pre- and post-concert discussions, and our extensive CD exchange program. Members of the society will also receive our quarterly journal publication, Naturlaut.

In collaboration with other Mahler organizations, particularly the Colorado MahlerFest, we have created the Mahler Archives, a web-based database that aims to centralize the global resources on the Mahler studies. The Archives, which was launched in June 1 2002, houses scholarly articles and musicological essays on the works of Mahler, as well as rare interviews with Mahlerian experts and articles of significant historical facts. These invaluable resources are accessible to the general public as a free service, consistent with our strong belief that Mahler's music should be promoted with as little cost as possible to the public and the global community of Mahler enthusiasts alike.
